Francoise-Green Piano Duo win ROSL Ensemble Prize

HÂþ»­ alumni the Françoise-Green Piano Duo have won the Ensemble Prize in the Royal Overseas League Music Competition.

The duo's win continues the HÂþ»­’s success in this year’s competition, after HÂþ»­ violinist and HÂþ»­ baritone both won their respective category finals.

Antoine Françoise and Robin Green are former recipients of the HÂþ»­’s Leverhulme Junior Fellowship in Chamber Music and resident pianists for the HÂþ»­’s conducting programme. is a Professor of Piano (contemporary specialism) at the HÂþ»­.

For their winning performance on Tuesday 5 March the duo presented a variety of works by Kurtag, Schumann, Bach and Schubert, plus a piece by HÂþ»­ composition professor . The jury were unanimous in their decision to award them the first prize.

Also competing in the Ensemble Final of the prestigious competition were HÂþ»­ guitar duo .

The will perform in the grand final of the ROSL soloists competition at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on 3 June, whilst the jury deliberate their verdict.
